Performance is not a medium like painting or sculpture, it's not about what it is made of. It is a tool used  to raise the questions of how art relates to us in the wider social world. And to manifest it what would be better than inviting everyone to be a part of it. The thought led me to come up with an installation in a public space where people can interact. 

 

I chose to recreate a hopscotch game as it is a very familiar street game worldwide. Such a game in a public place will be very inviting in itself, and at the same time, it will create tension as it’s made of hazard tape. People will be reluctant to cross the line. I also find a natural similarity between the graphical nature of the game and the style of work I am producing.
